Accident Injury Cases We Handle

Slip and Fall Accidents

Falls caused by wet floors, uneven surfaces, broken steps, or poor lighting can lead to serious injuries. These cases often turn on what the property owner knew, or should have known, before you fell.

Premises Liability

Property owners and businesses can be held responsible for unsafe conditions, from poor security to dangerous stairs or falling objects.

Workplace and Jobsite Injuries

Some workplace injuries involve workers’ compensation, a third-party claim, or both, depending on how the accident happened. We’ll walk you through which options fit your situation.

Motorcycle Accidents

Motorcycle riders have far less protection than drivers in cars and trucks, and often face unfair bias after a crash. We push back on that.

Pedestrian Accidents

Pedestrians can suffer life-changing injuries when drivers speed, drive distracted, or ignore crosswalks and traffic signals.

Bicycle Accidents

These cases often involve careless drivers, unsafe roads, dooring incidents, or drivers who don’t share the road safely.

Truck Accidents

Truck crashes can be more complex than ordinary accidents, often involving commercial carriers, federal safety rules, and multiple layers of insurance.

Construction Accidents

Construction sites carry real risks for workers, visitors, and nearby pedestrians, from unsafe equipment to falls and falling objects.

Car Accident Injuries

If your injury came from a car crash, our dedicated site can help.

What To Do After An Accident Injury In Florida

The steps you take after an accident can affect your health, your documentation, and your legal options. You don’t need to know whether you have a case before asking questions, but it helps to protect yourself early.

1

Get medical care.

Your health comes first, and treatment creates documentation that matters later.

2

Report the accident.

Depending on where it happened, that could mean the property owner, your employer, the police, or building management.

3

Take photos and video.

Capture the hazard, the scene, your injuries, and anything that might change or disappear.

4

Get witness information.

Names and numbers can matter if the insurance company later disputes what happened.

5

Preserve your documents.

Medical records, incident reports, receipts, and any messages related to the accident.

6

Be careful with insurance calls.

Insurers may ask for a recorded statement or push for a quick settlement; talk to an attorney first.

7

Contact Alex Arreaza early.

It helps preserve evidence, identify who’s responsible, and avoid mistakes that weaken your case.

Why Accident Injury Cases Can Be Complicated

Accident injury cases aren’t always straightforward. The property owner, employer, or their insurer might argue the hazard was open and obvious, claim they had no way of knowing about the danger, or say you simply weren’t paying attention. A strong case often depends on:

  • Photos and video of the hazard: taken as close to the time of the accident as possible, before conditions change or get fixed.
  • Maintenance and inspection records: what the property owner or employer knew, and when they knew it.
  • Witness statements: from people who saw the hazard or the accident itself.
  • Incident reports: filed with the property, business, or employer at the time it happened.
  • Medical documentation: connecting the accident directly to your specific injuries.

Our role is to gather that evidence quickly, before it disappears, and build the case around what actually happened at the scene.

What Compensation May Cover

Medical costs

Emergency care, hospital bills, physical therapy, and any follow-up treatment your injury requires.

Lost wages:

Income missed while you’re out of work recovering.

Property damage

Repair or replacement costs for a bike, motorcycle, or other property damaged in the accident, when it applies.

Pain and suffering

The physical and emotional toll of the accident.

Future care

Ongoing treatment if your injury has lasting effects.
No attorney can guarantee compensation or a specific result. The value of a case depends on liability, injuries, insurance coverage, and the evidence gathered from the scene.

Serving Fort Lauderdale, Broward County & South Florida

Our office is in Wilton Manors, and we help injured clients throughout Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, and neighboring communities, including Pompano Beach, Hollywood, Plantation, Oakland Park, Davie, Lauderhill, Coral Springs, Sunrise, Tamarac, Deerfield Beach, Coconut Creek, Margate, and Weston.

Accident injury cases often involve more than one property owner, employer, or insurance carrier, and the evidence can be spread across several locations. That’s why we also represent clients across South Florida, including Palm Beach County and Miami-Dade County, and statewide in Florida when the case calls for it.

Being based in Broward County means we know the local courts, property managers, and insurance carriers active here, and how to build a case that reaches beyond South Florida when it needs to.

Meet Alex Arreaza

I came to the United States from Venezuela more than 30 years ago. I understand what it feels like to face an unfamiliar system while important decisions are being made.

That experience shaped how I practice law. Injury cases aren’t only about paperwork and insurance claims. They’re about health, work, family, pressure, uncertainty, and the ability to move forward.

My role is to listen, explain the options clearly, and help clients take the next step after a serious accident.

Alex is by far one of the most caring and ethical Atorneys out there, and I am proud to call him my friend. I find it comical that A M leaves a scathing review because Alex wouldn't take a case that was unethical, which this person neglects to mention. If you look at all of the reviews from this individual, who won't even leave their real name, they are mostly 1's and 2's and obviously this person can't be pleased since they mostly leave negative comments. Those who have left reviews should report this review as Bullying. I would say a 4.7 is pretty strong!

FAQ

What is an accident injury lawyer?
An accident injury lawyer helps people hurt because of someone else’s negligence: investigating the accident, identifying who’s responsible, dealing with insurance companies, documenting damages, and pursuing compensation when it’s available.
Is this different from a car accident lawyer?
Yes. A car accident lawyer focuses on motor vehicle crashes. This page covers broader injury situations: slip and falls, unsafe property, workplace accidents, motorcycle, pedestrian, bicycle, truck, and construction accidents. Car accident cases go to our dedicated car accident site.
What should I do after a slip and fall or premises liability accident?
Get medical care, report the incident, take photos, get witness information, preserve your documents, and avoid giving detailed statements to insurance companies before speaking with an attorney.
Can I have a case if I was hurt at work?
Possibly. Some workplace injuries involve workers’ compensation, a third-party claim, or both, depending on how the accident happened. We can review your situation and explain which options apply.
How much does an accident lawyer cost?
Nothing upfront. Arreaza Law Firm works on a contingency fee basis for accident injury cases: there’s no cost to start, and legal fees are only owed as a percentage of what we recover for you if the case is successful.
Is there an accident injury lawyer near me in Fort Lauderdale?
Yes. Arreaza Law Firm is based in Wilton Manors and represents injured clients throughout Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, and the surrounding South Florida area.
What types of accident injury cases does Arreaza Law Firm handle?
Slip and falls, premises liability, workplace-related injuries, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, bicycle accidents, truck accidents, construction accidents, and other serious injury claims.
Can a lawyer guarantee compensation?
No. No attorney can guarantee compensation, a settlement, or a specific result. A lawyer can evaluate the facts, protect your rights, deal with insurance issues, and pursue the best available path based on the evidence.
How soon should I contact a lawyer after an accident?
As soon as possible. Early legal guidance can help preserve evidence, identify responsible parties, document damages, and avoid mistakes with insurance companies.
